The most popular courses are the Stained Glass and Fused Glass Making but there is also Jewellery Making and Glass Painting Classes as well as the Summer Course which covers a number of techniques rarely taught anywhere in Britain. The easiest way to view the classes is in the classes and workshop availability page or set this page to “Agenda” and then filter the classes by using “Categories” and “Tags”. The number of spaces are always kept up to date and if you enroll onto a class you will then be directed via the secure Paypal system.
Fused Glass Christmas Decorations
Come along and make your own fused glass Christmas Decorations! A seasonal fusing day course where you will learn to safely cut and shape glass and combine it into a range of festive shapes for full fusing or tack fusing, ready to hang on your tree or in your windows!
Working with fused glass is an adventure in colour, no previous experience is needed, just a willingness to play! In this exciting day course we will develop our skills in fused glass exploring decorative techniques to make decorations for your tree or perhaps candle holders.
We’ll use inclusions in the glass including copper, mica, bubbles, dichroic glass (the jewel-like glass with reflective and refractive qualities). We’ll provide information on where to buy supplies of tools and glass for the future. There is a limit of 6 people per workshop for faster learning and 1:1 attention.
If you love working with colour you will enjoy making and designing your own decorations it isn’t difficult and the combinations are limitless. Come and surprise yourself and rediscover your creativity!
The decorations your make will be fused overnight and you can either collect them from the studio by mutual arrangement (or we can post them out to you after the course if you prefer).
