glass jewellery – beginner’s class
One day introductory class in Glass Jewellery is usually held on a Saturday about four times a year, see the class dates calendar for availability.
All the glass is provided including a selection of dichroic glass and fittings. Each student is given a selection of jewellery findings to use with their glass such as silver plated bails, brooch fittings, cuff links and ear studs. These can be glued onto the back of the jewellery made. Silver chokers may also be bought at the studio if preferred.
Areas covered: design, the types of fusing glass available, glass cutting, glass compatibility, firing cycles, and a wide variety of decorative techniques.
The finished pieces can be picked up after firing, or if more convenient we will post them to you if postage costs are covered. The price for this day course is £135, all materials included (10:00am – 4:30pm).
There is a limit of 7 people per workshop providing the added advantage of a small class where you can experiment with many different effects and have an experienced adviser on hand at each stage.
We also sell gift vouchers for classes or workshops. Please call the studio on 020 7249 1565 or visit the shop.
